After visa-free travel for Georgian citizens came into force, the first direct flight to China was made. 140 passengers flew from Tbilisi, 40 of them were Georgian citizens. They used visa-free travel for the first time.

From May 30, China Southern Airlines increases the frequency of flights and will fly to Tbilisi 7 times a week.

The passengers of the first visa-free flight at Tbilisi International Airport were congratulated by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of China to Georgia and the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.
