Sanctity of the family is the foundation of our state, therefore it is Government’s duty to protect it, together with the Church, as a preserver of Georgian identity, writes the Chairman of the Parliament on the social network.

“Congratulations on the Day of Family Purity and Respect for Parents! In a world full of challenges, where national traditions and sacred human values are in clear danger, our Mother Church has raised the sanctity of the Georgian family and its eternal values as a shield. This is our way of life, handed down to us from our fathers and grandfathers, and we have been carrying it with pride for millennia.

This is a Georgian custom, respect for relationships between generations, hospitality, love for others and loyalty to the motherland.
