I am confident that all challenges related to the development of the European Union and relationship between Georgia and EU will be overcome, reads the statement of the Prime Minister of Georgia, which was released by the Government administration on the occasion of Europe Day.

“The Schuman Declaration was signed on 9th May 1950, marking a crucial step toward the formation of the European Union. In the aftermath of World War II, Europe embraced core values such as democracy, the rule of law and human rights. The European Union and its institutions played a pivotal role in upholding these principles. This long-standing peace provided a stable environment that allowed the EU to steadily develop its economy and improve the quality of life for its citizens.

I am confident that all challenges related to the development of the European Union and the relationship between Georgia and the EU will be overcome in due manner.

EU membership is Georgia"s primary foreign policy priority. I am convinced that by 2030, Georgia will achieve full EU membership. With its unique culture and traditions, our country will then contribute significantly to the European Union"s continued success!”, - says Irakli Kobakhidze.
