We call on the rally participants not to carry out illegal actions and avoid calls that may become a prerequisite for violent actions, reads the statement, released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“As is known to the public, manifestation is planned to be held in the vicinity of the Parliament building today.

Herewith, through various social networks, the organizers and participants of the protest plan to artificially block highways and paralyze the city.

According to Articles 11 and 11 (I) of the Law of Georgia on Assemblies and Manifestations, it is prohibited to artificially block the transport carriageway, as well as to create intentional obstacles to the traffic movement.

We call on the leaders of political parties, the organizers of the rally and each participant to express their protest in forms defined by law and not to allow the roads to be paralyzed.

It is also reported that the protestors are still planning to picket the entrances and exits of the legislative body building.

In order to protect the safety of all citizens, police cordons will be arranges at the entrances and exits of the Parliament building.

The participants of the rally will have the opportunity to protest on Rustaveli Avenue, at the front and back entrances of the legislative body.

Once again, we would like to note that in accordance with the Law of Georgia “On Assemblies and Manifestations”, it is forbidden to block entrances of administrative buildings and disrupt their work process”, - reads the statement.
