Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

The parties discussed the friendly relations between Georgia and Hungary, emphasizing the positive outcomes achieved in the development of their partnership over the past few years.

Attention was paid to the importance of furthering sectoral ties and, in this regard, the role of the documents signed within the framework of the intergovernmental commission of the two countries.

Hungary’s strong position on Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration was underlined. It was noted that support from Hungary, in light of its upcoming EU presidency, acquires even greater importance, as the Georgian Government’s efforts are channeled toward advancing to the next stage in the process of the country’s European integration.

The conversation touched on prospects of further deepening the trade and economic ties between the two countries, also on their productive cooperation in the areas of education and culture.
