The international friends of Georgia and especially the European Union are very strongly warning Ivanishvili’s party and Ivanishvili personally that reinstating the “Russian law” threatens the European integration of our country. Such a statement made Tina Bokuchava, Chairperson of the United National Movement, while commenting the resolution of the European Parliament.

“This was once again confirmed by the resolution adopted by the European Parliament today, including the issue of Ivanishvili’s personal sanctions as an amendment, which makes it clear that everyone understands very well that Ivanishvili and his party members are personally responsible for sabotaging Georgia"s European future and, accordingly, the highest legislative body of Europe Requests the imposition of personal sanctions.

This is a very heavy statement and judgment for Ivanishvili and his party members, who openly chose the path to Russia by reinstating the “Russian law” in the Georgian Parliament, which once failed due to the efforts of the Georgian people, and even now you can see that it has become the subject of quite a large-scale civil protest. Because, both friends of Georgia and citizens of Georgia, we all understand very well that the “Russian law” endangers the European future of our country”, - said Tina Bokuchava.
