The Ministry of Internal Affairs has initiated an investigation into the explosion that occurred at the Battleground shooting range on Bochorma Street in Tbilisi, under the 3rd part of Article 240 of the Criminal Code.

“Investigative efforts are ongoing to ascertain the cause of the explosion. Expert criminalists, miners, and personnel from other relevant units were working at the scene. Additionally, experts from various fields, including the Fire and Explosive Matters Research Service and an engineering expert from the energy department of the Levan Samkharauli Expertise Bureau, are contributing to the investigation”, - says the agency.

As a result of the explosion, 3 persons died, several are still in hospitals.
