The modern, new, European-type “H 145” helicopter of the border police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is already in Georgia.
The rescue helicopter has 2 engines, which increases the safety of the flight. It has been improved both in terms of aerodynamics and flight safety.
The said type of helicopters are distinguished by the ability to operate and maneuver at high altitude, which, considering the mountainous terrain of Georgia, is fully compatible with the existing tasks.
The pilots and flight technicians of the Special Purpose Aviation Department of the Border Police received theoretical and practical training at the Airbus Helicopters Training Academy in Germany.
The modern, European type H 145 helicopter is one of the latest models produced by the French company Airbus Helicopters, which was delivered to the Airbus Helicopters plant in Germany.
The delivery of the next 2 boards to the Georgian side is planned until June 2024.
