Dramatic vision has emerged of a woman being swallowed up as the floor of a shopping centre suddenly collapses in eastern China. The woman was shopping on the second level of a mall in the city of Zhenjiang in Jiangsu province when a security camera captured the incident.

A construction worker was working on the floor below when the collapse happened, according to the Peopleэs Daily Jiangsu.

Both the woman and the construction worker were trapped but freed by emergency crews and sent to a nearby hospital. Both were injured but in a stable condition. The cause of the collapse is still under investigation.
