The Minister of Defense hosted the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Georgia, Petr Kubernat, and the Defense Attaché, Lt. Col. Michal Sobarna.
According to the Ministry of Defense, at the introductory meeting the parties emphasized fruitful cooperation in the field of defense between Georgia and the Czech Republic.
The conversation touched upon the support of the Czech Republic in the implementation of the initiatives defined by the NATO-Georgia Essential Package, as well as within the framework of the European Peace Mechanism.
Irakli Chikovani also hosted the Ambassador of Slovakia to Georgia, Matúš Bušovský and military attaché, Colonel Milan Shintay. The minister reviewed the implementation of the NATO-Georgia Substantial Package and Georgia’s contribution to the European Peace Facility. The sides expressed hope to further deepen bilateral cooperation in the defence sphere.
