4 gold and 1 bronze - Grand Slam ended with an impressive performance of Georgian judokas

Georgian judokas Guram Tushishvili and Lasha Bekauri became winners of the Tbilisi Judo Grand Slam, where the national judo team claimed 5 medals in total.

In the +100 kg weight category, Tushishvili defeated Ushangi Kokauri [Georgian judoka who is competing in the tournament on behalf of Azerbaijan], with ippon and earned the gold medal.

Another “gold” was claimed by Bekauri who won the Grand Slam for the 2nd time in a row by winning over his Azerbaijani rival Eljan Hajiyev [90 kg].

Nikoloz Sherazadishvili, a Georgian-born, Spanish judoka defeated Canadian Shady El Nahas [100 kg] winning the gold medal at the tournament.

The 22-year-old judoka Saba Inaneishvili also claimed a bronze medal [+100 kg category].
