Two new low-cost airlines, Transavia and AJET, enter the aviation market in Georgia.
Starting from the summer, Transavia, a low-cost airline from the Netherlands, will operate regular flights from Amsterdam to Tbilisi. AJET, a Turkish low-cost airline, will offer regular flights on the Istanbul-Tbilisi-Istanbul route.
Transavia’s flight schedule, submitted to the Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia, indicates that flights from Amsterdam to Tbilisi and back will be conducted twice a week, every Wednesday and Saturday, from April 20 to the end of October 2024.
AJET will operate daily flights on the Istanbul-Tbilisi-Istanbul route from March 31, 2024, to the end of October.
On March 12, 2024, the Civil Aviation Agency of the Ministry of Economy granted the necessary permits for Transavia and AJET to conduct regular air traffic to and from Georgia.
