The Minister of Education highlighted today the Ministry’s initiatives to support youth and enhance their contribution to the state’s development while presenting his vision of youth policy to the public.
“By implementing new initiatives, we will ensure Georgia has a young generation with national, patriotic, public, moral and ethical values and ones able to fully realise their potential in the competitive environment of the modern world.
The Ministry’s aim is to ensure maximum involvement of youth in the process of building a democratic, legal and social state. We will offer young generations thematic events tailored to their personal interests and cover the widest possible audience by implementing diverse, interesting projects.
Today I want to announce a large-scale youth festival, which would feature up to 25,000 students from all universities of the country. The event would include sports tournaments, cultural events and intermedia, which would give the students opportunity to participate in various activities.
The state would also provide support for the professional development of young generations by implementing a paid internship programme for graduates in public agencies to help participants acquire professional knowledge, experience and practical skills necessary for career advancement”, - said Giorgi Amilakhvari.
