Georgian National Film Centre is participating in the 74th Berlin International Film Festival [February 15 - February 25], showcasing a Georgian stand at the European Film Market, highlighting the rich heritage of Georgian cinema, presenting new projects and promoting the country as a leader for filmmaking in Eastern Europe.
According to the Film Centre, the Georgian delegation includes directors and producers aiming to forge connections with representatives from various production companies, foster collaborations and advance the country"s film industry.
Their participation would bolster international ties for Georgian filmmakers and the success of their ongoing projects.
The delegation is led by the Centre’s Acting Director Koba Khubunaia. He will held several important meetings with producers, representatives of companies, cinemas, online portals, international film festivals.
Besides, as Film Centre adds, Koba Khubunaia will discuss plans to attract foreign investments to Georgia through film projects, alongside efforts to promote Georgia as an attractive destination for film production, with collaboration between the Film in Georgia programme and the National Film Centre.
