Georgian Foreign Minister met the Minister of the State of the United Kingdom for Europe and North America. Ilia Darchiashvili and Leo Docherty reviewed the regional challenges and Georgia’s role as a mediator to ensure peace and stability in the region.
Minister of the State of the UK stressed Georgia’s connectivity role in European energy independence and shaping new energy architecture.
The sides discussed the existing “Wardrop Strategic Dialogue” between Georgia and the United Kingdom. Georgia reiterated its readiness to host the 9th round of the Dialog in Tbilisi. The FM also focused on the consolidation of partners’ support amid global security threats.
The Georgian side’s efforts to promote peace and stability were noted. Docherty emphasized Georgia’s role as a regional mediator. He also noted Georgia’s role in increasing regional connectivity, European energy independence and the formation of a new energy architecture.
