Prime Minister of Georgia will be today a keynote speaker at the Global Gateway Forum - Ambassador

The Prime Minister of Georgia will be a keynote speaker at the Global Gateway Forum hosted by Ursula von der Leyen [European Commission President], in Brussels. Such a statement made today Georgia’s Ambassador to the European Union.

As Vakhtang Makharoblishvili said, the event would discuss the EU’s proposal for investments in connectivity, health, education and research systems across the world.

“Irakli Garibashvili’s presence at the international forum, which will bring together more than 40 high-level Government representatives from EU and partner states, as well as major financial institutions, as a keynote speaker emphasizes the role and importance that Georgia has for Europe and the bloc in the connectivity context. The Prime Minister had been invited to the event by the European Commission President, who will open the Forum on Wednesday [October 25] under the theme “Stronger Together through Sustainable Investment”, - said the Ambassador.

Von der Leyen will host a dinner for participating leaders on the first day of the event, which will be followed by a series of discussions on the green energy transition and green hydrogen, education and research, critical raw materials and transport corridors, the Commission added, while the next day will be focused on health products manufacturing and digital infrastructure.
