Gaza will be without electricity, water and fuel until the hostages are released

Israel’s Energy Minister Israel Katz said the siege of Gaza will not end until all hostages are freed, writes BBC.

In a post on social media, he said that “no light switch will be turned on, no water tap will be opened and no fuel truck will enter Gaza until all the abductees are released”.

Israel has stopped supplies to the Gaza Strip after Hamas attacks on Saturday. Meanwhile, the American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, has also arrived there today to meet with Israeli officials. More than 1,200 people have been killed in Gaza since Israel began airstrikes. 338,000 people have been displaced as a result of airstrikes. At least 1,200 people have been killed in Israel since the weekend fighting by Hamas.
