Money of the American people was used to plan revolutionary processes, to deliberately prepare people for riots and to provoke violence - Papuashvili

The money of the American people was used to plan revolutionary processes, to deliberately prepare people for riots and to provoke violence. Such a statement made today the Speaker of the Parliament, while commenting the information, issued by the State Security Service of Georgia.

“This is a dark day in the history of American aid to Georgia, because we see that it seems that the money of the American people has been used here to plan revolutionary processes, to deliberately prepare people for riots and to provoke violence.

Too bad the American people’s money is involved. Therefore, it is important to make relevant clarifications from the USAID side, which is already involved in such a scandal. So far we have seen that the results of the so-called parallel counting, which was published by ISFED in 2020, those fake results, were the basis of the unrest.

We found out that it was said by the head of ISFED that its donor, USAID, knew that the results that were publicly distributed were fake and hid them from the public, nor did tell the authorities and the people.

To date, the USAID representative has not commented on this and explained why they hid from the Georgian people that the results of the parallel counting were fake. These false parallel count results were seen as the root cause of the unrest.

They should explain why the money of the American people and taxpayers goes to another country to train riot-inspiring groups that plan riots and provoke violence”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
