There is a need for more information from the US on the case of sanctioning the former Prosecutor General of Georgia, Otar Partskhaladze. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.

“It is probably necessary to make public more information, present more specifics. I think, first of all, the population of our country deserves that when they say that a Georgian citizen is sanctioned and talk about a specific charge, more information should be presented from their side. When we talk that [the State Security Service of Georgia] has started the investigation, probably the relevant agency will ask its colleagues to provide more information on this issue.

You remember that in the case of judges, when a decision was made regarding the restriction of visas, no one could understand anything in the explanation - why this decision was made, what it was related to. I think, at least, when talking about a strategic partner and making such decisions, the reasons should be known to the public and more specifics should be voiced”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
