The Georgian side demands from the American partners the evidence that is the basis of the decision to sanction Otar Partskhaladze, the former Prosecutor General of Georgia. Such a statement made today the Speaker of the Parliament.

“The Georgian society will be fully informed about the process around Otar Partskhaladze.

The State Security Service of Georgia [SSSG] said they had begun to investigate the case. This is, of course, a serious charge we have heard, and on the other hand, this is the first citizen of Georgia to be in this type of sanction, so the SSSG itself works on the matter, including applying American partners to convey evidence that is the basis for this decision and we have said that the Georgian society will be fully informed about this process.

A person who has nothing to do with politics and public service for the past 10 years is a private person and second, since it is a serious charge, the SSSG has begun to investigate the issue, it is because of this that they are addressing the American side for the proof and that’s why we will have open communication with the public on all of these issues”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
