More than 100 reports have been forwarded from Public Safety Command Center 112 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to Emergency Situations Management Service regarding Guria and Ajara regions.

As a result of heavy rainfall, residential houses and fields were flooded, trees fallen, land masses collapsed and several villages of Guria region were cut off from the outside world.

Representatives of the relevant units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are mobilized at the disaster-affected sites and are conducting necessary measures within the frames of their mandate.

At this stage, search operation is underway for 3 persons, including 2 minors, in different villages of Guria region.

Additional information is clarified at the moment and will be made public gradually.

The fire-rescue teams are fully mobilized, relevant works are being carried out, and all reports are being responded to step by step.
