Georgia lost to Slovenia, but has a chance to get out of the Group

The national team of Georgia held the second match of the Group stage of the World Basketball Championship against the national team of Slovenia. Against the toughest opponent, Georgia did its best, but, unfortunately, lost 88:67 in a tense battle.

Dallas ace Luka Doncic delivered in style for Slovenia with 34 points in their win over Georgia. Sandro Mamukelashvili led for the Georgians with 21 points but it wasn’t enough to stop Doncic from taking his side to the top of Group F.

Despite the loss, Georgia has a good chance of exiting the Group. The national team of Georgia will hold the last match of the group stage on August 30 and will face Venezuela. The meeting will start at 12:00.
