If Georgia doesn’t move quickly towards European integration, Russia’s expansionist policy will become even more dangerous - Ana Natsvlishvili

Russia has been fighting against the independence of Georgia for two centuries, neither Medvedev nor others can rewrite history, said MP from Lelo, Anna Natsvlishvili, in response to the statement of the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Dimitri Medvedev.

“I would like to remind Russia and each of its representatives that Russia has been fighting against Georgia’s independence and territorial integrity for two centuries, and the attempt to rewrite history as if it all started only in 2008, or in the 90s, is the signature of Russian politics.

However, the world knows well the beginning of this history, and we Georgians know very well that the European Union was not created at all, when Russia was fighting against Georgia’s independence, territorial integrity, and the autocephaly of the Church, which was abolished along with Georgia"s statehood.

This is a fact that no statement of Medvedev and others can rewrite. Georgia has chosen the Euro-Atlantic course”, - said Ana Natsvlishvili.
