In Oni municipality, search operations are progressing in the disaster area. As a result of the monitoring by the rescuers, another body has been discovered - Temur Mghebrishvili, the head of the Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, noted with the journalists.

“In the epicenter of the disaster, we have already searched the collapsed area, and from the morning we have been actively advancing heavy equipment into the river beds and expanding the search works. In the 25th kilometer from the epicenter of the disaster, the rescuers have found a body, which was transferred to the forensics facility. I noted yesterday that this is what patrolling and monitoring on such a large section includes. At this stage, the best effort is being carried out in the river bed with heavy equipment. The soil has allowed us to monitor water below the depth of about 2 meters in certain locations, and we believe that the depth where we can look is 1.5-2 meters. We have distributed sectors up to Ambrolauri, which includes 18 sectors. Works are carried out directly by means of equipment on a kilometer and a half perimeter from the epicenter of the disaster”, - said Temur Mghebrishvili.

So far, 27 bodies have been found in the disaster zone by the rescuers, and search operations are underway for 6 persons.
