Turkish citizen detained on charges of violating personal life privacy

The Special Investigative Service [SIS] arrested a Turkish citizen on charges of violating personal life privacy.

According to the investigation, the accused had formed a relationship with a Georgian citizen during his stay in Georgia. He secretly captured nude images of the victim during their interaction via social media without her consent.

Following the termination of the relationship, the accused sent unlawfully obtained photos to the victim’s family members. After the victim reported the incident, the SIS conducted comprehensive investigations and apprehended M.A., a Turkish citizen born in 1992.

The detainee is charged under Article 157 of the Criminal Code. This offence carries a penalty of imprisonment from 4 to 7 years.
