In Rustavi, the rehabilitation of the water supply system is underway at another important location - Abkhazeti Street. After the completion of the works, Rustavi City Hall will start a new infrastructural project on Abkhazeti Street.

For the purpose of monitoring, the mayor of Rustavi, Nino Latsabidze, got acquainted with the ongoing rehabilitation process on the water pipeline and announced the new rehabilitation project of the same street.

The project will be implemented on Abkhazeti Street, between the 7th and 8th micro-districts and the connecting roads with Lomouri Street. The project envisages the complete rehabilitation of the road infrastructure, the construction of new green and pedestrian spaces, sidewalks and bicycle paths on the streets of Abkhazia and its neighboring streets.

At this stage, the Rustavi Water company is carrying out renovation works of the 500-meter-long main and distribution network on Abkhazeti Street within the framework of the project worth 30 million GEL. On the same network, 12 units of locking-regulating ward and 6 key wells will be arranged.

“Rustavi Water” company started the rehabilitation project of Rustavi water supply system at the end of 2022, at the request of Rustavi City Hall and based on Semek’s decision. The total cost of the project is 30 million GEL and its implementation should be completed by the end of 2023.
