The Ministry of Health kicks off accepting applications for the medical treatment of kids with oncologic diseases at foreign hospitals.
According to the Government’s decision, all children with an oncological diagnosis will have the opportunity to be diagnosed and treated with state funding at the leading clinics of Turkey, Israel, and Spain, with which the ministry signed contracts. The annual budget of the project is around GEL 30 million.
A beneficiary of the program may be a person aged up to 18 with an ICD code of international classification. Parents fill in the application form with the notary-confirmed translations of medical examinations and submit it to a special board of the Ministry for review and approval based on the patient’s best interests for the medication process.
