The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appeals to the President of Georgia and the Parliaments of the EU member states to implement a humanitarian act and pardon Mikheil Saakashvili.

According to MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, 285 deputies supported the adoption of the relevant appeal.

The text of the resolution states that its adoption is due to the critical state of Saakashvili’s health and the need to preserve his life and health.

Therefore, the Rada calls on Salome Zourabichvili to allow the Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmytro Lubinets, access to Mikheil Saakashvili.

Besides, the Rada calls on the legislatures of the EU countries to adopt relevant decisions and resolutions on the necessity of pardoning Saakashvili by the President of Georgia.
