“If any tangible progress has been achieved in this direction, it was during the Georgian Dre­am period. I am deeply convinced that together with the Georgian people, we will definitely be happy to receive candidate status and, subsequently, to become a member of the European Union.

When it comes to European integration, Georgia solves quite a lot of problems in a fairly short period of time. Based on the pace of all agencies working on European integration issues, I believe that all the recommendations will be implemented within the required time frame.

As for fulfilling one of the points of the European recommendation by pardoning Nika Gvaramia, I don’t think that the specific case and the pardon have anything to do with the European integration of Georgia”, - said Rati Bregadze.
