Non-governmental organizations [Open Society Foundation, Democratic Initiative of Georgia, Partnership for Human Rights, GRASS, Democracy Research Institute, Governance Monitoring Center] summarized the meetings held with representatives of EU institutions and member states in Brussels.

“Representatives of the EU institutions again expressed their disappointment regarding the decision on direct flights with Russia, as it does not correspond to the spirit of joining the EU and contradicts the common foreign and security policy of the European Union.

In addition, concerns were expressed regarding the visit of the family members of the Russian Foreign Minister to Georgia sanctioned by the European Union”, - reads the statement.
