The decrees signed by Russian President on the lifting of the ban on flights to Georgia for Russian airlines and the cancellation of the visa regime for Georgian citizens comes into force from today, May 15.

According to the decree related to the lifting of the ban on flights, the order of Vladimir Putin dated June 21, 2019, which prohibited Russian airlines from flying between Georgia and Russia, was declared invalid.

As for the cancellation of the visa regime, citizens of Georgia will have the right to stay on the territory of Russia without a visa for a period of up to 90 days.
