The Mayor of Rustavi, Nino Latsabidze, along with the Infrastructure Service of the City Hall and the members of the City Council faction Georgian Dream got acquainted with the progress of the project, in the format of a workshop, on the spot.
A new square is being built on Rcheulishvili Street at the request of the residents. The project envisages the arrangement of children’s, sports and leisure spaces, outdoor lighting and green islands on an area of more than 15,000 square meters.
Within the framework of the project, a staircase leading from Rcheulishvili Street to Graneli Street will be built, the cost of the project is 1,688,134 GEL.
Within the framework of the concept of the green city, at this stage in Rustavi, the works of arranging new and extensive recreational spaces are being carried out at 3 locations - Rcheulishvili and Kldiashvili streets, as well as in the 21st micro-district, for which a total of 6.5 million GEL is provided from the local and central budgets.
In 2022-2023, in Rustavi, green public spaces were organized on an area of 63,411 square meters. Currently, the works of arrangement of new recreational spaces are being carried out on an area of 51,428 square meters.
