The first session of the Parliament’s spring session is taking place amid rally. Citizens are holding a protest near the back entrance of legislature. They are demanding the release of Mzia Amaghlobeli, founder of “Batumelebi” and “Netgazeti”, who has been on hunger strike for the 24th day.

According to the protesters, journalist Mzia Amaghlobeli is an unacceptable figure to the government, being punished for her views.

They are calling on Georgia’s General Prosecutor Giorgi Gabitashvili to immediately apply to the court with a motion to change her pretrial detention to a less severe sanction.
