Teimuraz Khomasuridze, who was illegally detained by the Russian occupation forces in the vicinity of the village of Adzvi, Gori municipality, is free and is in the territory controlled by the central government.

“In the process of releasing Teimuraz Khomasuridze from illegal imprisonment, both the hotline mechanism operated by the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia and all the relevant tools at the disposal of the central government were actively used.

Responsibility for all destructive actions carried out in the occupied regions of Georgia and along the occupation line rests with the occupying power.

The central government, international partners, continues to work actively to release all citizens of Georgia who are illegally detained in the occupied territories”, - reads the statement of the State Security Service of Georgia.
