Georgia is a leader among the candidates for EU membership, both in terms of economic growth and institutional development, writes the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament on the social network X.
“Recently published stats of first five months of 2024 indicate a notable 9,3% economic growth of Georgia.
Georgia continues its solid economic performance, recording the highest economic growth among the European Union candidate countries and the European Union itself. Georgia also ranks the highest among the EU candidate countries in the Rule of Law Index by The WJP and in Corruption Perception Index.
Building democratic and functioning institutions and increasing citizens’ prosperity are what matter to the Georgian Government. Facts say it all - Georgia leads in both dimensions”, - writes Shalva Papuashvili.
