The employees of the Special Investigation Service arrested a 27-year-old man for the fact of disclosure of secrets of personal life.

The investigation established that the defendant, born in 1996, living in Tbilisi, was in a love/intimate relationship with the victim girl born in 2001, whom he used to meet in a rented apartment in Tbilisi. During the meeting, the victim voluntarily took intimate photos with the man’s mobile phone. In March 2024, after breaking up with the defendant, the victim woman on the social network “Instagram” posted a photo taken with her friend, because of which the defendant, on the grounds of jealousy, called and verbally abused her. Also, on the same day, the victim woman became aware of the fact that her intimate photos, about which she requested the defendant to delete, were spread in one of the groups of the social network “Telegram”.

After the victim woman’s report, the Special Investigation Service conducted the investigative activities. During a personal search of the defendant, intimate content material depicting the victim woman was seen and removed from his mobile phone, including a Telegram group of 2,500 users where the defendant disseminated intimate photos depicting the woman"s personal life.

The defendant was arrested for the crime under Article 157 (2) of the Criminal Code of Georgia. The crime shall be punished by imprisonment for a term of 5 up to 8 years.
