According to the Roads Department of Georgia, from April 11 to April 25, within the framework of ongoing rehabilitation works on the section of Vaziani-Gombori-Telavi highway of domestic importance, km27-km33, all types of motor vehicle traffic will be prohibited.

During the mentioned period, transport will move through the Tbilisi-Bakurtsikhe-Lagodekhi highway of international importance. Traffic will be carried out under the direct supervision and coordination of the patrol police.

The rehabilitation section includes 8 landslide areas. Within the framework of the project, a drainage system and replacement of weak soils will be implemented in the Gombori pass section, in the landslide areas. A total of 33.6 km long section of Vaziani-Gombori-Telavi highway will be rehabilitated. The works are financed by GEL 66,700,000 from the state budget.
