The Minister of Health held an introductory meeting with representatives from the sector, heads of domestic clinics and a Healthcare Association to discuss ongoing reforms.
The meeting discussed the Diagnosis-Related Group financing for medical institutions, regulatory mechanisms and standards, development of primary care and necessary changes for development of medical services in the country.
“Protecting the interests of patients and provision of high-quality services are the Ministry’s priorities. Active communication with the sector had played an important role for the outcome”, - said Mikheil Sarjveladze.
The sides agreed to “actively continue work to address existing challenges”.
