Under our Government, the participation of our compatriots abroad in the elections has increased by 100% and the registration rate has increased by 44%, these are specific numbers. Such a statement made the Vice – Speaker of the Parliament, Archil Talakvadze.

He asked the opposition where they have been, when the public elected them with high activity and why they did not enter the Parliament for eight months.

“When you say that the activity was low in 2020, where you have been when the activity was high? When the turnout was high and the society elect you to the opposition, why you didn’t enter the Parliament for eight months? And after that you assure us that the votes of our compatriots abroad will be important to you and you will respect them? When 100 thousands citizens within the country elected you in the opposition and you did not enter the legislature until the European Union and the European parliamentarians told you directly what we were telling you – you are undermining the elections and the democracy. I want to tell our citizens that the elections will definitely be held democratically, according to the European standard, in free conditions, and Georgia will continue to develop and move towards Europe”, - said Archil Talakvadze.
