Koka Katsitadze, the Head of the Special Investigation Service held a working meeting with Giorgi Amilakhvari, the Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia.
At the meeting, the joint project of the Special Investigation Service and the Ministry of Education, Science and the Youth of Georgia was discussed, which refers to the ongoing informational campaign in schools to raise awareness on the protection of juveniles’ private lives.
To prevent the disclosure of secrets of personal life and raise the awareness of juveniles, the coordinated work of both institutions and the importance of the involvement of even more schools throughout Georgia in this project was noted.
Within the framework of the above-mentioned project, the meetings in schools launched in December 2023, were led by investigators and employees of the Office of Resource Officers and provided detailed information to schoolchildren regarding the massively spread crimes of disclosure of secrets of personal life.
At the meeting, the parties discussed issues of future cooperation between the agencies and measures to be implemented. They agreed that within the framework of the informational campaign, various events will be planned and implemented to raise the awareness of juveniles.
Natia Songhulashvili, the Deputy Head of the Special Investigation Service and Gela Geladze, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia attended the meeting held in the Ministry.
