Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with UFC Champion Ilia Topuria.

The Head of Government congratulated the athlete on his victory and pointed out that this is an achievement that Georgia and the Georgian people cherish and take pride in. Irakli Kobakhidze took an interest in Ilia Topuria’s plans for the future and wished him success.

In a conversation with the champion, the Prime Minister emphasized that, alongside receiving Spanish citizenship, it is also important for Topuria to keep his Georgian citizenship. The Head of Government will address the Justice Ministry and the President to do everything for Ilia Topuria to keep Georgian citizenship.

The UFC champion, who is visiting Georgia at the Prime Minister"s invitation, will present his championship belt at the Georgia-Luxemburg football match on March 21.
