“Yesterday, with the participation of the jury, the verdict was delivered by the court in the case of Roin Shavadze in connection with two other persons. As you know, the non-investigation of the murder of Shavadze was one of the issues on which the Strasbourg court found a violation of the right to life and all procedural violations and ordered us to conduct a re-investigation. It was precisely during Zurab Adeishvili’s term of office as a prosecutor, when Roin Shavadze, a Georgian soldier, was killed and then this case was covered up so that no one was punished.

Adeishvili is the creator of this system. Today we especially remember the regime that was formed under his leadership. Of course, it is unacceptable that they met and shook hands with criminals in the offices where together with our European partners we talk about the rule of law and justice.

Of course, it is their responsibility to be aware of who they are meeting and on what topics they are meeting. Therefore, we expect that if someone did not know who Adeishvili is, they will now know who he is, and at least we will never see him again at such meetings.

We expect Zurab Adeishvili to be handed over to Georgia. The Prosecutor’s Office has repeatedly appealed to Germany and Belgium. It is important that it is noted once again that Adeishvili should be arrested and handed over to Georgia.
