As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the employees of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, criminal prosecution was initiated against four persons, two of them were detained based on the court decision, on the fact of trying to fraudulently misappropriate a large amount of someone else"s property using forged document.

The investigation determined that the accused persons, on the basis of a notarized power of attorney issued in Azerbaijan, in the name of the owner of the real estate, applied to the Justice House of Tbilisi, on the basis of which they tried to alienate two land plots having value of GEL 624 472, registered in the name of a foreign citizen, located in Tbilisi, which could not be completed by them.

The investigation is being conducted under Articles 362 and 19-180 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides imprisonment from 6 to 9 years.
