Irma Khetsuriani and Nina Tibilashvili, Georgian wheelchair fencers, claimed silver medals at the Wheelchair fencing European Championships in Paris, France.
Tibilashvili won the semi-finals against Éva Andrea Hajmási [Hungary], but conceded the final to Kinga Drozdz [Poland]. Khetsuriani defeated Karolina Strawinska [Poland] in the semi-finals in women’s sabre category B with a score of 15:8, before she lost the final against Rossana Pasquino [Italy].
The Georgian squad, which also includes Gvantsa Zadishvili, will also compete in the team programme, which is running through March 10.
