Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Massimiliano D"Antuono, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to Georgia.

At the meeting with the Italian Diplomat, the Prime Minister reviewed Georgia’s progress on the path to European integration and emphasized the importance of support from the Italian Republic as one of the founding countries of the EU in the process of further integration.

The bilateral cooperation between Georgia and the Italian Republic was also discussed at the meeting, with focus on productive trade and economic, also defense, education, and cultural cooperation. Readiness to strengthen the existing partnership even further was expressed.

Irakli Kobakhidze thanked Massimiliano D"Antuono for strongly supporting Georgia’s European future and the country"s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
