For the first time in Georgia’s history, the Freeride World Tour is taking place at Tetnuldi Resort, Svaneti.
The decision to host the event was announced at the annual Freeride event in Annecy, France. Georgia is among the 6 leading countries [Canada, Andorra, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Georgia] that have received the right to hold the Freeride World Tour – a special type of winter sport involving sliding on untracked snow in challenging and mountainous terrain.
According to the Mountain Trails Agency, the event features 50 riders from 15 countries, including Georgia’s representative, Jaba Shvediani.
