The decision to return the Kutaisi-Barcelona flight to Kutaisi International Airport was made due to the alleged presence of explosive substances on board.

“A few minutes after takeoff, the Kutaisi-Barcelona flight landed back at the Kutaisi International Airport.

The reason was the information provided by the airline about the probable presence of an explosive substance on board, on the basis of which the crew decided to return the flight to Kutaisi airport.

All relevant services are mobilized on the site and they are working”, - reads the statement of the Kutaisi International Airport.
