The Georgian Dream will hold today a party congress to formally present its new candidate for the position of the Prime Minister after the resignation of Irakli Garibashvili.

The congress will also elect the party’s new Chairman, with a session of the Political Council preceding the congress session.

Bidzina Ivanishvili, the Honorary Chairperson of the party, will present Irakli Kobakhidze as the only candidate for the Head of the Government. In the upcoming session week, the Members of Parliament will approve the new Prime Minister and the composition of the government.

The congress, scheduled to start at 14:00.
