Nino Kvitaishvili, a member of the Tbilisi Assembly [Sakrebulo] from the United National Movement [UNM], quit the party.

„The Chairman of the UNM Faction, Irakli Nadiradze, instructed me on behalf of Levan Khabeishvili and Tbilisi Party Organization Chairperson, Zaza Gogava, to either obey the party management or “choose her way and Nika Gvaramia.

I will be an independent member of the City Assembly. My decision is logical, I had always expressed my dissatisfaction with the changes in the party leadership. Rather than waiting to be dismissed, I chose to leave on my own terms.

As for Nika Gvaramia, he is my long-time friend and the only person in the political field in Georgia today who has the experience of gaining success from zero during the Georgian Dream period, as well as its defeat. I know for sure that he will make changes. I cannot imagine this fight without him. I choose the way together with his team of young idealists”, - said Nino Kvitaishvili.
