Information that, as part of the state health care program, the intensive treatment of neonatal age is financed only by 70% and the citizen has to pay 30% co-financing, is not true - Health Ministry

Neonatal intensive care/treatment is fully funded by the state and doesn’t require co-payment, as well as childbirth and caesarean section. Such a statement was released by the Ministry of Health.

“The information spread by a separate media outlet and organization, as if, within the framework of the state health care program, the intensive treatment of neonatal age is financed only by 70% and the citizen has to pay 30% co-financing, is not true and serves to deliberately discredit the state program.

It is important that when disseminating information about health services, organizations show responsibility and ensure that the information is verified.

To inform the public, we clarify that intensive care/treatment of neonatal age is fully financed by the state and does not require co-payment, as well as childbirth and cesarean section.

Reforms implemented by the Ministry of Health are aimed at protecting the interests of citizens and provide financial access to quality medical services”, - reads the statement of the agency.
